TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Sept. 2 (PIA) —The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) formally turned over 12 free patent titles (FPT) to the qualified residents of Silang with their Handog Titulo program. The activity coincided with the 13th year anniversary of the “Tuloy-tuloy ang ARENGkadang Paglilingkod” during the 2nd Arts Festival entitled “Isang Pagdiriwang ng Sining at Kultura” at the Cavite State University Silang campus gymnasium, Barangay Biga 1.
A yearly commitment carried out by the local government of Silang headed by Mayor Emilia “Omil” F. Poblete.
PENRO chief Raymundo D. Crisostomo said Handog Titulo aims to bring Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) closer to its clientele and to disseminate the massive call for the processing of FPT to qualified applicants.
A 77 year old grandmother who was one of the 12 lucky recipients of the FPT endlessly thanked the organizers when she was interviewed by a Sangguniang Bayan councilor.
The event also featured cultural performances depicting different cultural dances by students from selected high schools in Silang including the winning piece by the Cavite State University, Silang campus in last year’s dance competition.
