Norzagaray, Bulacan - The water level of Angat Dam here rose, but still is far from critical level. Some parts of Bulacan province were also hit by floods due to the continuous heavy rainfall during the past weeks.
Liza Mungcal, chief of the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) based in Malolos City, said that it was in August this year when they recorded water level at Angat Dam at 179.30 meters which was higher than the previous 175.04 meters higher than the previous 175.04 meters, but it was still far from the spilling level which is 212 meters.
In case Angat Dam reaches the spilling level, the water the dam releases will affect Angat River which includes the towns of Angat, Bustos, Baliwag, Pulilan, Calumpit and Hagonoy, while that of Ipo Dam water releases will affect Sta. Maria, Guiguiginto, Balagtas and Bocaue.
