STA. ROSA CITY, Laguna (PIA) -- The City Government of Santa Rosa has formally opened its own drug rehabilitation center.

The center, aptly called the Dangal ng Pagbabago Rehabilitation Center, is the first ever LGU-operated rehabilitation center in the country and is located in the old housing project in Tiongco Subdivision, this city.

The facility stands on a 1000 square meter land and can accommodate 200 volunteer drug surrenders.

It was implemented as a response to the President’s call to address the need for a facility to help rehabilitate drug dependents who voluntarily surrendered to the Police as they conduct the Operation Tokhang in the city. (GG/ACO with reports from Santa Rosa CIO A. Zapanta)
