LUCENA CITY, Quezon (PIA) - The Philippine Statistics Authority- Quezon provincial office is conducting the 2016 annual survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) in in 28 municipalities and two cities in the province of Quezon.
Provincial Statistics Officer (PSO) Irene Pucyutan said the survey aims to collect and generate detailed information on employment, income, expense, inventories, tangible fixed assets, intangible assets and total assets of the establishments and generate indicators such as value added, labor , productivity, average compensation and others necessary to evaluate the performance of industries at the national and regional levels.
The survey also aimed to generate data for business process management activities, generate micro, small and medium establishments/ enterprises data using total employment and finally gather information for the improvement of the list of establishments and enterprises.
The total number of sample of establishments for the said survey is 259, distributed in 28 municipalities and two cities. PSO Pucyutan encourages owners/managers of establishments and enterprises in Quezon province who were chosen as respondents of ASPBI to cooperate and participate in the survey.
The PSA-Quezon is authorized to collect information from business and industries under R.A No. 10625. Section 27 of the law obliges the establishments to provide the required data.
Meanwhile, the PSA-Quezon will be holding a stakeholder’s forum this May in Lucena City to provide target respondents a broader perspective and better appreciation of the ASPBI. (GG/Ruel Orinday,PIA-Quezon with reports from RV Litan- PSA-Quezon)
