The DepEd Region IV-A CALABARZON was deemed as Outstanding GAD Implementer, Regional Line Agency Category by the Regional Development Council during the 4th Quarter 2017 RDC Full Council Meeting at the Bulwagang Batangan, Batangas City last December 5.
Proving once again why excellent is DepEd CALABARZON’s culture and quality is their commitment, the regional office has fully met all the requirements in terms of policies implemented, people-enabling mechanisms, projects and activities conducted set by RDC, enabling them to garner the prestigious award.
Nadina G. Gaton, Regional Education Program Supervisor and GAD Coordinator could not help but feel overjoyed over the momentous win, exclaiming, “ang karangalang natanggap ay para sa ating lahat!”
Gaton also extended her appreciation for the support and participation in all the regional GAD endeavors to Regional Director Diosdado San Antonio, Assistant Regional Director Francis Cesar Bringas, HRDD Chief Luz Osmeña, Regional and Division GAD Focal Persons, and all CALABARZON GAD advocates.
Other Outstanding GAD Implementer awardees included Quezon Province for Provincial Category and Calamba City for City Category. Winners for the Municipal Category were Los Baños, Laguna for 1st place; Mauban, Quezon for 2nd place; and Tanay, Rizal for 3rd place. Meanwhile, Cavite State University was declared Most Outstanding GAD Implementer in the State Universities and Colleges category. Batangas State University placed as 1st runner-up and Laguna Polytechnic University placed as 2nd runner-up.
The said meeting and awarding was hosted by the Provincial Government of Batangas under Governor and RDC Chairperson Hermilando I. Mandanas. (Ma. Joan Paula D. Dino, PAU, DepEd CALABARZON)
