Quezon PPO, Camp Nakar, Lucena City -- Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) nabbed four (4) drug pushers including former cop during Buy Bust operation conducted on February 11, 2018.

Police Senior Superintendent Rhoderick C. Armamento, provincial Director of QPPO identified the suspects as : 1. Santiago Rosatoles y Bonete a.k.a Dodong, jeepney driver; 2. Fortunato Nosa y Callenta, former member of PNP (AWOL); 3. Orlando Japor y Nosa, jeepney driver; 4. Roderick Defeo y Nadera, dump truck driver, and all of legal age, married, and residents of Brgy. Ibabang Dupay, Lucena City.

According to Police Superintendent Vicente S. Cabatingan, Chief of Police, Lucena City Police Station (LCPS) the said operation was conducted by members of Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of said police station at about 2 p.m. at Don Froilan University Site, Brgy. Ibabang Dupay, Lucena City. The operative who acted as poseur buyer with the assistance of Confedintial Informant was able to buy one (1) piece of heat sealed trasparent plastic sachet (HSTPS( containing believed to be shaby from the suspects and during the preventive search, confiscated pieces of evidence were one (1) canisted containing two (2) pieces of HSTPS containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, and one (1) piece of five hundred peso bill used as marked money. Three (3) pieces of used aluminium foils and one (1) lighter were also confiscated from the possession of Fortunato Nosa, Orlando Nosa, and Roderick Defeo who were caught in the act of using illegal drugs. The confiscated evidence weighs approximately 2.0 grams with estimated DDB value of p3,700.00.

Arrested suspects are currently detained in the custodial facility of LCPS and charged of violation of Sec and 11, Art II of RA 9165 (Selling and Possession of Dangerous Drugs).

In the end, PSSupt Armamento stated that Quezon PPO will continue its campaign against all illegal activities especially on illegal drugs. Thus, intensified illegal drugs operation thru series of implementation of search warrants and buy-bust will remain to capture personalities who will stop thier involvement in this nefarious activity. Furthermore, he encouraged the public to participate in the Community Mobilization Program (CMP) of the PNP and Local Government to fight all forms of criminality in the Province of Quezon. (QPPO)
