Aiming to finish proposed projects ahead of time, Regional Director (RD) Samson L. Hebra warmly welcomed contractors and project engineers in the administered 1st Contractors’ Meeting at the Region’s Conference Room, January 9.
Attended by its respective contractors of all active projects, RD Hebra reminded every contractor to start projects early, advance project when necessary and to expedite work.
“The faster the survey, the faster the plan. Let’s see how further we can enhance the implementation of the project,” RD Hebra said.
It was mentioned in the said meeting that the Region’s target of accomplishment for this year is 80%, 10% higher than the accomplished work projects last year which is 70%.
“We need to increase last year’s overall rating of accomplishment. This 2018, let’s accomplish projects especially those high impact and critically needed by the public,” he urged.
Meanwhile, RD Hebra also stated struggles encountered by the Region that should be addressed by the contractors for systematic implementation of projects. The said challenges include timely completion/submission of documents, safety and health program requirements, materials engineering report, and BIR filing. RD Hebra also relayed the policy instructions of the Department for the year 2018 with regard to implementation of projects and its relation to Performance Governance System (PGS) scorecard.
“Start early, finish the survey and planning. Submit your documents properly and in order. Don’t hesitate to call me so that I can coordinate and facilitate with the proper personnel. Let’s help each other so we can accomplish projects as soon as possible,” he stressed. (DPWH)
