Jorge Geffered Babia shows his winning form after winning the bodybuilding competition in Macau, China.

LUCENA CITY – A 34 years old native of this city is quietly making waves in Macau, China as he bagged the Macau Open Bodybuilding Championship 2018.

Jorge Geffered Lodronio Babia, simply known as Pengs, was declared champion in Bodybuilding 70 kg. Category and 5th place in Classic Physique 175cm Category defeating his competitors from various countries like China, Thailand, Nepal, Hong Kong, among others.



Working as IT and Project Support Specialist Supervisor in Bartech Ltd., Jorge stands at 5 ft. and 8 inches and has a competition weight of 70 kilograms but weighs 80 kilos when not in competition.

“I have been engaged in bodybuilding since 2004, pero nag-stop ako noong 2010 para sa ibang career, then naisip ko magbalik ulit sa bodybuilding noong 2015 at para sa akin mas challenging kasi ang bodybuilding,” he said in a chat interview thru Messenger.

A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in Manuel S. Enverga University here, Jorge has also racked up trophies from various local competitions such as 3rd place in Mr. Musclemania 2005 in Gumaca; 2nd place, Mr. Body 2006 in Pagbilao; Finalist Bikini Open also in 2006 in Pagbilao; Ginoong Quezon and Ginoong Luzon in 2007; and 3rd Place, Mr. Macau in Macau, China in 2017.



He is prepping up for an upcoming stiff competition in November, the Global Classic 2018 and he is targeting for a PRO Card to participate in the big events like Mr. Olympia.

Asked if he has other passion aside from bodybuilding, Jorge said he is a member of a live bandas bassist and songwriter of Chilli Choco.



Jorge, first cousin to Sentinel Times publisher, Nimfa Estrellado, is happily married to FatimaLomongo and has 3 children: Geanne Aljoure, 10; Nathan Geffered, 4; and Gaiana Belle, 3.
