With the new aims of the National Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Strategic Plan 2019-2030, which is to scale up the number of LGUs with outstanding performance in ECCD, the Early Childhood Care and Development Council together with the Community Systems Foundation represented by Mr. Wilson Diola, Project Development Officer and UNICEF Consultant, Mr. Augusto Rodriguez respectively, intensifies local mobilization for the delivery of positive child rearing outcomes and best practices through various Local Government Unit (LGU) consultations.
Quezon province, being one of the best performing LGUs when it comes to the provision of ECCD services was visited by the said national agencies last January 15, 2019. The visit aimed to gather information in the progress of a Municipality or Province in the planning, financing, implementation and monitoring of ECCD services.
The consultation also intended to mobilize the different programs and services, disaster and crises, coordination and integration of various stakeholders and data management and utilization of concerned parties regarding the execution of ECCD services.
Provincial Government of Quezon headed by Gov. David C. Suarez, presented the numerous programs and factors which helped improved the provision of Early Childhood Care and Development in the province, highlighting the importance of one of the provinces’ esteemed program, the Quezon’s First 1000 Days of Life or Q1K. The honorable Governor further expressed profound willingness in sharing the best practices of Quezon province in the promotion of such programs and services.
Henceforth, Governor Suarez assures their incessant and utmost support to Early Childhood Care and Development services and programs, as accomplishments has always been the unswerving foundation of pride for the province. (Quezon – PIO)
