Run for A Cause: Thousands of runners joins Tayabas Color Run |

TAYABAS CITY - Runners, DepEd Personnel, parents and students converged in Tayabas on Sunday as they took part in Parents and Teachers Association Federation’s (PTA) Color Run Tayabas. The run for environmental cause began at Parke Rizal at 6:00 a.m. According to the Federation, 2,000 runners participated in the event.
This event was dubbed as “The Color Run Tayabas because it is the happiest and healthiest run in the Universe. This activity will not only help raise the fitness levels of the participants, but also increase awareness on the need to care for our environment.
“We wanted to encourage everyone to make a stand to ensure a green future for today’s kids,” said Wenda Saberola De Torres, Committee on Education.
Bella Abulencia and Zeny Nilo ruled the 5K races respectively.
A registration of P50 for students and P100 for adult. This includes race bib, color pockets, finisher’s gift, bottled water, taho, raffle coupon, certificate and a token tree. Participants received a token tree which they can plant in an old pail, a can, in a bin or container in the comfort of their home and grow tree as their own.
The Color Run Tayabas is now on the 3rd year of implementation.
