TAYABAS CITY- Tayabas City Stand Alone Senior High School formally hosted the competition for RACE (Research Advocacy for Community Empowerment) with the theme “Celebrating Transformative Power of Research”. Twenty-five researchers, teachers, faculty and students from the Schools City Division participated in this friendly competition.
Mrs. Luviminda E. Saludares, Education Program Specialist ll, reads the official downloaded message from RACE and added that this is a venue for researchers to showcase their output, mainly done to solve some of the existing and pressing problems in the school and the society. As an incentive to the researchers, publication of their research work is guaranteed.
Mrs. Maylanie Galicia , Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, highlighted research as a discipline. As she formally opened the event, she encouraged the participants to live for what is true and to celebrate truth.
Twenty-three researchers from the elementary and secondary level exhibited their research in poster presentation and showcased their research to the public. Maria Corazon Borbon and Erica Mai T. Cabuyao were declared winners for their Research Paper entitled “ Vehicle Emission Air Purifier (VEAP) Device Using Snake Plant (Sanseviera trifasciata prain) Fibers.
RACE is designed to run annually and is envisioned to become the world’s first simultaneously coordinated research competition and exhibition happening in more than 200 locations.
