LUCENA CITY - Another kilo of illegal drugs was found in an island town of Quezon province.
Quezon police director, Senior Supt. Ramil Montilla said the illegal substance wrapped with a rubber in a large plastic sachet was found to be cocaine.
Montilla said the illegal drugs weighing around one kilo was found by fisherman Allan Malballosa along the seawater of Brgy. Matangkap, Panukulan, Quezon while he was fishing at 3:20 p.m.
On suspicion that it was illegal drugs, Montilla said Malballosa together with village chief Marcelo Potes decided to have it surrendered to Insp. Reynante de Chavez, the town police commander when the latter and some of his men arrived in the village to conduct investigation.
Last Saturday, a kilo of cocaine wrapped in a plastic sachet and sealed with masking tape was found by one Raizel Anog at Sitio Tingtingon, Brgy. Cabungalunan, in the island town of Burdeos, Quezon.
In February, several bricks of cocaine were also found in separate villages of Mauban and Perez towns.
