TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – Schools
Division Superintendent Dr. Catherine P. Talavera on May 18, Saturday led the “Motorcade
and Kick-off Ceremony of Brigada Eskwela. Motorcade route started from Brgy.
Baguio to town proper, Brgy. Mateuna, Brgy. Lakawan and ended at Brgy. Mate
while the Kick Off Ceremony was conducted at the Brgy. Hall of Brgy. Mate.
Talavera encouraged schools and
stakeholders to make the Brigada Eskwela program not just a tool to improve
school facilities but to step up community contribution in the continuous and
shared responsibility of providing quality basic education.
“All donations of stakeholders
will be posted in a centralized website for transparency ,” Talavera added.
All school will mobilize their
Adopt-a-School Program/Brigada Eskwela coordinators to ensure the successful
six-day implementation of the activity on May 20-25 in all public elementary
and secondary schools and to ensure the involvement of the community and local
stakeholders.
Individuals/groups from, local government units (LGUs), SDO
Personnel, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP),
Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRMM), Tayabas Ledge No. 43, Order of the
Eastern Star no. 29 Mt. Banahaw Chapter, Mrs. Imelda “Lala” Pabulayan, PTA
Federation President, Kap. Johnny J. Sumilang, PTA President Loreta M. Edora
and school heads signed their pledge of commitment.
