LUCENA CITY - The stepped- up campaign launched by Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) against wanted felons continues to gain positive results with the arrest of fourteen (14) most wanted persons, three of them included in the regional level, from June 1 to 12.
Quezon police director, Col. Ramil Montilla identified the trio as Marlo Sangcap, Jessie Beting and Sonny Nieves, who have been listed as 3rd, 6th and 10th, respectively, in the roster of 10 most wanted men in Calabarzon region.
In his report to PRO- Calabarzon director Brig. Gen. Edward Carranza, Montilla said Sangcap, 59, who faces murder charges was arrested at Brgy. Matandang Sabang Kanluran, Catanauan, Quezon on the afternoon of June 2.
He said Beting, 39, who has been wanted for rape was collared at Brgy. Ilayang Polo, Pagbilao, Quezon on the morning of June 7.
While Nieves, 43, who faces 2 counts of rape was nabbed on the afternoon of June 4 in Malate, Manila, according to Montilla adding that no bail was recommended for the trio.
Montilla identified the 11 other most wanted persons in the municipal level they arrested as Virgilo Pareja, 3rd in Agdangan, Quezon (frustrated homicide), Romeo Bandagoza, 5th in Calauag, Quezon (robbery), Ricky Manalo, 3rd in Dolores, Quezon (serious physical injuries), Reynaldo Villanea, 6th in Luisiana, Laguna (homicide), Arnel Alpuerto, 2nd in Mauban, Quezon (qualified theft), Dionisio De Guzman, 1st in Padre Burgos, Quezon (frustrated murder), Dondon Flores, 9th in Tayabas City (theft), and Alfredo Serafin, Jr., 5th in San Narciso, Quezon (rape).
With their intensified campaign, Montilla said he is optimistic that they will be able to catch more wanted persons up to the regional and even national level soon.
