Quezon cops kill drug financier, seize P.5M shabu

LUCENA CITY--- Hours after killing a suspected drug financier, police operatives arrested four suspected pushers inside a motel in separate drug busts at Barangays Dalahican and Isabang over the weekend. Quezon police director, Col. Ramil Montilla identified the slain suspect as Fidel Masilang Galvez @Bobong, 43, businessman and resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Dalahican. Montilla said Galvez who has been suspected of being a drug pusher and financier in the coastal village died in a shootout with city police operatives under Lt. Col. Reydante Ariza at 5:10 p.m. on Saturday. He said the suspect who was armed with a cal. 45 pistol opened fire at the operatives who were about to accost him shortly after the exchange of .25 grams of suspected shabu and a marked P500 bill between the suspect and the poseur buyer that triggered a shootout. After eleven hours, Montilla said joint elements of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Branch, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and Lucena City police station seized around 300 grams of suspected shabu worth P555,000 in another drug bust inside KM127 at Brgy. Isabang resulting in the arrest of four suspects including a woman. In his report to Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Edward Carranza, Montilla identified them as Alexander Lamping, 22, Ilias Sultan, 23, Jonathan Plomantes, 25, and Roxan Arguilles,19, all all residents of Brgy. Datu Ismael, Dasmariñas, Cavite. He said the operation yielded two zip- locked transparent plastic sachets and two knot- tied plastic sachets containing shabu weighing around 300 grams with estimated DDB value of P555,000, a marked P1,000 bill and 99 pieces of boodle P1000 bills used in the buy bust. Montilla said Lamping is included in the Proirity Target list of Quezon Police Provincial Office while the other suspects are all newly identified drug personalities. He said the suspects get their drugs supply in Cavite.
