MAUBAN, QUEZON--- Some P35 million worth of suspected cocaine bricks were discovered on the shores of Sitio Bulwagin, Brgy. Cagsiay 1, here, yesterday afternoon.
Quezon police director, Col. Ramil Montilla said each of the seven bricks was wrapped in thick packaging and weighs more or less one kilo and with street value of P1 million.
Montilla said the illegal substance was discovered by a resident in the village who was having a picnic with his family along the shore.
He said the resident informed Lt. Col. Julio Go, chief of the Quezon Provincial Intelligence Branch and informed him of what he discovered around 12:20 p.m.
"Col. Go and his men immediately proceeded in the area and coordinated with Mauban police station under Maj. Deo Calawit", said Montilla.
He said they met with the resident who found the cocaine bricks.
The illegal substance were taken to Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office in Lucena City for examination.

Montilla hailed the cocaine finder for surrendering the illegal substance to the police.
Several bricks of cocaine have already been found in separately along the shores of some island and coastal towns in the province.
