TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Sixty nine inmates of the Cavite Provincial Jail gained the respect of the audience who witnessed their simple graduation ceremony held at the Visiting area of the Provincial Jail.
The event with the theme, “Pagkakaisa sa Pagkakaiba-iba; Kalidad na Edukasyon Para sa Lahat” confirmed the completion of the 2018 Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency of the inmates who studied hard to learn and pursue their dreams of finishing their studies.
Special guests and speakers to the event were Vice Governor Jolo Revilla and Principal II Norielyn C. Narciso of Kaytitinga National High School in Alfonso, Cavite who both congratulated the graduates and inspired them to continue what they have started to eventually lead a better life.

Principal Narciso told the graduates, “I believe that all of you will also be successful and productive citizens when you all return to the mainstream society” while Vice Governor Jolo Revilla stressed that, “Education is not limited to those outside prison but also to those behind bars.”
He also shared: “My father, Senator Bong Revilla was also an ALS graduate.”
Vice Governor Jolo Revilla led the awarding of nine honor students for the elementary level and six honor students for the high school level. (Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite/with reports from PICAD)
