LUCENA CITY - Police operatives killed another suspected pusher in a shootout who resisted arrest during a drug buy- bust at Purok 7 Sta. Theresa, Brgy. Dalahican, here, on Wednesday afternoon.
Arellano Martinez @ Zander/Tisoy, jobless and resident of said village suffered fatal bullet wounds and died instantly, said Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo.
Prior to the incident which took place at 4:30 p.m., Madrideo said Martinez sold 0.25 grams of suspected shabu in a small plastic sachet to a poseur- buyer in exchange for a marked P500 bill.

But right after the exhange, he said the suspect sensed that the buyer was a lawman prompting him to push hard the latter and quickly pulled a cal. 38 revolver.
Madrideo said the suspect opened fire but the cop managed to take cover.
His back up police officer, promptly fired back hitting the suspect on the spot.
Elements of Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office who processed the crime scene recovered the revolver without serial number loaded with four live bullets and an empty shell, 2 empty shells for cal. 9mm pistol and a, 3 heat- sealed sachets ina coin purse containing 1.20 grams with street value of ₱2,220.00.
