Despite the worsening road congestion and commuter problems in Metro Manila, Malacañang said there is no mass transportation crisis yet. Waking up early to avoid traffic isn’t a solution anymore and it’s time for the government to accept its fault in the worsening mass transportation crisis.

Ang punto ko lang dun we are very creative people. When we’re confronted with a situation na hostile, we adjust. ‘Yan ang pagka-malikhain ng Pilipino,” Panelo said.

Creative? Mass Transportation is supposed to be CONVENIENT, not Creative and if you don’t realize that, you DON’T DESERVE TO BE IN GOVERNMENT.

Also, not everyone has the same resources to get “creative”. A lot of the Filipinos can only afford to ride the jeep, bus, and train.

A mass transportation crisis happens when the rich won’t be able to travel. There is no crisis yet since only the poor are affected.

Muntinlupa Representative Ruffy Biazon laments the denial of a mass transportation crisis in Metro Manila when the plight of the daily commuter shows otherwise. If you fail to see how much a slap in the face it is how the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration DELIBERATELY bought jets for the military amidst this whole transportation crisis, full offense, you’re a dumb clown and an enabler of our country’s dilemma.

The government fails to give us a long-term effective solution to mass transportation and traffic crisis because they don’t even acknowledge that there is such a thing. Our transportation system here in the Philippines is not also Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Senior citizen-friendly. I saw with my own two eyes how these types of people struggled just to get on the bus and yet you still say there is no transportation crisis.

On the other hand, Vice President Lani Robredo says Panelo’s almost four-hour commute to Malacañang proves the transport crisis. “Mabuti si Sec Panelo once niya lang naramdaman pero mga kababayan natin araw-araw, ito ‘yung pakikibaka.”

Maybe Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo should have saved himself and everyone else the trouble by just acknowledging that there is a problem and using the time he wasted on this foolish challenge to do his job and help the Filipino people. Honestly, this is so frustrating.

At the end of the day, I felt more disappointed because there was no acknowledgment of the existing problem. He just twisted his words “..hindi niyo iniintindi sinabi ko...” an apology with action would have sufficed but pride is pride. He even clarified that his perception of traffic was that of “his time” meaning most of the government officials denying like Panelo, has an ancient perception of traffic. But still, the mass transportation crisis should also be acknowledged not denied.

As a Filipino who not only complains but offers a solution to the traffic crisis, here’s one, don’t steal the people’s money, build roads and improve public transportation. Sorry for generalizing but yeah, gov’t officials as in those who should be acknowledging the transportation crisis and those who should be trying to provide a solution for the commuters.
