BATANGAS CITY - The 2018 third richest province in the Philippine, Batangas, is celebrating its 438th foundation anniversary on December 7 - 8, 2019.
The theme of this year's celebration is "Ika-438 Anibersaryo, Taas-Noo, Diwang Batangueño."
Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Sylvia M. Marasigan said in an interview that to celebrate this milestone, the Foundation Day Organizing Committee, in cooperation with the Batangas Provincial Tourism Council, had been preparing activities for the two-day event with venues in the new city of Sto. Tomas and the DREAMZONE, Capitol Compound, Batangas City.
The following are some of the program of activities: Saturday, December 7, 2019 - Fun, Food, Faith in the New City.
Thanksgiving Mass at Padre Pio Shrine, City of Sto. Tomas, 7AM; Breakfast with the Mayor; 3x3 Basketball Competition, FAITH, Tanauan CIty; Bulalo Challenge at Palengke! City of Sto. Tomas; Sunday, December 8 "Ika-438 Anibersaryo, Taas Noo, Diwang Batanguño" Thanksgiving Mass at DREAMZONE, Capitol Compound, 7AM Parade of Colors - All Flags of 34 cities and municipalities; 8AM - Awarding Ceremonies (Culture and Arts, Rescuelympics, SGLG, Most Outstanding MPA and Turnover of Motor Bancas, VIP Luncheon at the Provincial Tourism Office.
The celebration, expected to be another tourist attraction in the Provincce of Batangas, is likewise seen to boost the economy, tourism and culture of Batangas, as all sectors are one in joining and supporting in the preparation as well as participating in the actual events.
