Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo identified the arrested suspects as Maria Cristina Camacho, 36, an alleged drug supplier, Adrian Bataanun, 39, Public Utility Van driver, residents of Brgys. San Lorenzo and Sadsaran, respectively, Mauban, Quezon; Roel Ortiz, 24, terminal dispatcher and resident of Brgy. Isabang, here; and Mhel Mark Gucilatar, 35, farmer and resident of Brgy. Libjo, Infanta, Quezon.
In his report to Calabarzon police director, Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao, Jr., Madrideo said the operation yielded a total of 161 grams of shabu with an street value of P968, 555.
Danao’s standing order to his five provincial directors is to make Calabarzon region free fromall forms of illegal activities especially the illegal drugs.
Madrideo said the first operation was conducted by joint elements of Provincial Intelligence Branch and Infanta police station led by Majors Gaylor Pagala and Dandee Aguilar, respectively at Brgy. Libjo, Infanta, Quezon resulting to the confiscation of 51 grams of shabu from Gucilatar during a drug- buy bust.
It was followed by another drug bust carried out by Pagala’s team and operatives of Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea at Grand Central Terminal at Brgy. Ilayang Dupay, this city ending up in the arrest of Bataanun and Ortiz following the seizure of 15.3 grams of shabu from their possession.
Based in the information gathered from the duo regarding their source of drugs, Madrideo said a follow up operation was immediately carried out by Pagala’s group and personnel of Mauban police station under Major Romar Pacis resulting to the confiscation of 91.59 grams of shabu and a mini electronic weighing scale inside the residence of Camacho, the alleged supplier.
Madrideo said the suspects have been under police tight watch based on Intelligence reports about their illegal activity.
