The Management Information Systems Office (MISO) supports the health programs of Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, one of which is the health card project or Blue Card, by providing technical assistance in its processing.
MISO’s workforce in the project is composed of immersion students from the Systems Technology Institute (STI), Siniloan Kapatalan Senior High School, Nagcarlan Senior High School, Oogong Senior High School, and ACTS, as well as on-the-job trainees from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) and AMA College.
They are guided by able MISO staff to ensure that scanning and encoding of the application forms, and printing of the Blue Card are efficiently done.
On the other hand, MIS staff Jocelyn Dela Cruz and Stephanie Grace Reyes do the verification and backing up of the database.
The Blue Card is one of the projects under “Effective and People-Sensitive Health Management Program,” the top priority in Governor Ramil L. Hernandez’s 8-point program. The aim of which is to provide quality and affordable healthcare to everyone, especially the indigent Lagunenses.
Since 2018 up to present, the Provincial Government of Laguna has already issued 62,525 new Blue Cards. With the help of the health card, Lagunenses can gain access to affordable and quality healthcare services from the nine district hospitals of Laguna.
The Blue Card is made available to Lagunenses through the joint efforts of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Management Information Systems Office (MISO), Public Affairs Office, Provincial Urban Development and Housing Office (PUDHO), Serbisyong Tama Action Center, Youth Development Affairs, and Sectoral Concerns Office.
