PAGBILAO, QUEZON - Five passengers including a 3 year- old boy of a South- bound bus died while ten others were injured after an speeding Mitsubishi Elf delivery truck accidentally collided with the vehicle along Maharlika Highway in Brgy. Silangang Malicboy, here, Saturday late afternoon.
Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo identified four of the five fatalities as Ma. Analoyd Seyosa Po, 24, of Tacloban City, Editha Antivo, 69, of Canadag-on Burauen Leyte, Pacita Gabriente, 60 of Tanza, Cavite, and Arturo Espiel Martillano, 60.
Madrideo said the boy could is believed to be a son or relative of one of the three injured female passengers, two of them female, who are still fighting for their lives at the hospital due to severe wounds.
Officer on case PSMS Darwin Balisalisa said the collision happened at 4:30 p.m. while the CUL Transport bus driven by Reynaldo Sampilo, 44, was traversing the highway on its way to Bicol region while the truck driven by Sander Soliveres, 30, of Laloma Dagat dagatan, Camarin, Caloocan City was going in the opposite direction on its way to Manila.

For still unknown reason, Balisalisa said the the truck partially occupied the left lane of the highway while descending on a curved portion hitting the left side of the upcoming bus.
On impact, the pasengers occupying the window seats were directly hit by the truck killing the five on the spot.
Upon learning of the incident, elements of Pagbilao police station under Major Mederic Villarete, village officials and peeeonnel of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Offices of Pagbilao and Atimoman towns.
All the injured passengers were rushed to MMG Hospital and Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City while the truck driver was placed under police custody and will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide, physical injury and damage to property.
It was learned that CUL Transport supervisor Miguel Galvan, has appeared to the police station where he made asssurance that the company will extend assistance to the victims.
