TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite - While the country's hospitality industry uses foreign themes such as 'Disney', around the world, and 'white Christmas' to use as leverage the spirit of the holiday season and attract more customers, some hotels here chose to promote the classic "Paskong Pinoy" or the local way of celebrating Christmas.
Located on Km 58 Aguinaldo Highway, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay's theme is also in support of the country's tourism campaign to promote the country's "one of a kind" hospitality culture, said Operations Manager Bernard Maraon during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony held at the hotel's parking grounds on Saturday.
As part of the industry, which constantly looks for ways to give their extra mile service to satisfy every guest, the hotel starts by making their guests feel at home, through the popular Filipino warmth.
"We are their home away from home," Maraon said.

With this, he hopes "we can be part of your holiday celebrations."
Native decorations, like the famous parol (lantern), which dominates the hotel's facade and interiors, are already a treat. The theme is also consistent with the hotel's various hotel offerings, from food, room packages and offered hotel activities.
The highlight includes the buffet offerings during Noche Buena on December 24, Christmas Lunch on December 25 and Media Noche on December 31 which are ideal for families who would celebrate get together, minus the trouble of preparing the food to feast on.
