LUCENA CITY - Police operatives seized some P650,800 worth of shabu following the arrest of a drug personality considered as High Value Target (HVT) during a drug bust and follow- up operation at Purok Bagong Buhay, in Brgy Cotta, here.
Quezon police director Col. Audie Madrideo said Marco Pielago, alias Kokok, 23, of Purok Matahimik in the said village was caught red- handed with two transparent plastic sachets containing 5.16 grams of shabu and the marked money used by the poseur buyer while conducting the drug buy bust.
In his report to Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao, Madrideo said the operation was carried out by operatives of Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea at 11:45 p.m. and was witnessed by village officials and a media representative.
Albacea said that shortly after the operation, he received an information that what his men seized was only a part of a bulk of shabu being kept by the suspect.

"I was told by an informant that the suspect was keeping a bulk of shabu, prompting us to immediately conduct a follow up operation", said Albacea.
Backed by elements of Quezon Provincial Intelligence Branch and 403rd Maritime Police, Albacea said the team proceeded to the suspect's residence at 8:45 a.m. where he kept 125 grams of shabu and had it surrendered to the lawmen in the presence of barangay officials and a media representative.
Albacea said the suspect and the 130.16 grams of shabu with an street value of P650,800. and the marked money were taken to Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for drug test and laboratory examination, respectively.
The suspect told police that the contraband came from Muntinlupa City and was transhipped here.
