DOLORES, QUEZON- Various non-government organizations and volunteering groups from Quezon have joined the continuous relief and humanitarian efforts for the evacuees affected by the Taal volcano eruption.
Volunteers from the cities of Tayabas and Lucena, set up a food caravan and extended relief goods to an evacuation center in the town of Dolores, for 1,250 people displaced by the said eruption.
They distributed relief packs containing clean clothes, water, first aid medicine, canned goods, face masks to evacuees from the towns of Laurel, Lemery, Agoncillo, Talisay and Malvar in Batangas province.
Programs, and activities were conducted by the volunteers like story-telling, coloring activities, games, film showing and song number from Quezon pride, Jam Labitigan to entertain the evacuees sheltered at Ciudad Mistica in Dolores.
Bangong Batangas-Tayabas Head Allen Beatriz Zagala said that the relief mission is their way of giving back to the community, and make a huge difference in the lives of others.
She also thanked all the people who volunteered and rendered their effort for providing help to the victims of the said eruption.
“Maraming salamat po sa mga tumulong at nagbigay ng suporta sa amin. Malaking tulong po ito sa mga apektado ng bulkang Taal lalo’t higit po sa mga bata na mula pa po sa iba’t ibang bayan sa Batangas,” she added.

Provincial Government of Batangas
The Provincial Government of Batangas is accepting in-kind donations for those affected by the Taal Volcano eruption. These can be dropped off at the Provincial Sports Complex, Bolbok, Batangas City.
For cash donations, interested donors can coordinate with Joy Montalbo, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head, at +639209457654.
St. Bridget College
The College Department of St. Bridget College in Batangas will be accepting in-kind donations for Taal Volcano eruption victims. Those who wish to donate may coordinate with St. Bridget Community or St. Bridget College, College Department in M.H Del Pillar St., Batangas City.
De La Salle Lipa-Community Involvement Office
The De La Salle Lipa (DLSL)-Community Involvement Office is accepting in-kind donations for the evacuees of the Taal Volcano eruption. The drop-off point for donations is at the DLSL College Lobby. Their immediate needs are hot meals for the evacuation centers in Brgy. Inosluban and Sitio Sto. Toribio, Lipa City.
Batangas Medical Center Post-Graduate Interns 2019-2020
Batangas Medical Center Post-Graduate Interns 2019-2020 are accepting in-kind donations placed inside an ecobag, which will serve as care packages for Taal Volcano eruption victims. Donors may write an encouraging message to give along with their care packages. They may also just drop off their donations at the PETRO Office, Batangas Medical Center, Bihi Road, Kumintang Ibaba, Batangas City.
Supreme Student Council- Batstateu Alangilan Campus
The Supreme Student Council-Batstateu Alangilan Campus in Batangas City is accepting cash and in-kind donations starting Tuesday, January 14. Donations may be dropped off at the SSC PB Main II Office.
Batangas State University Main Campus
The Extension Service Office of the Batangas State University is calling for donations for those affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas.
In-kind donations, as well as financial assistance, may be dropped off at the Extension Services Office, 2F, Student Services Center Bldg. II, Batangas State University Main Campus I, Rizal Avenue, Batangas City. You may also contact them at 09989745412.
Lipa Archdiocesan Social Action Commission, Inc. (LASAC)
LASAC calls for donations of medicine, face masks, food items, blankets, towels, gasoline, fuel and flashlights for the affected communities of the Taal eruption. Cash donations are also accepted.

Art Relief Mobile Kitchen
Art Relief Mobile Kitchen will cook hot comfort food for evacuees who fled their homes to seek safety in nearby towns like Lipa.
Those interested to help may donate in cash or in-kind, or volunteer.

DSWD Calabarzon
The Department of Social Welfare and Development Calabarzon is in need of volunteers for the repacking of goods for affected families.
Individuals or groups interested to volunteer may proceed to DSWD Field Office IV-A Warehouse, Brgy. Gregoria de Jesus, GMA, Cavite (in front of Barangay Hall). Repacking hours are from 8 am onwards starting Tuesday, January 14.

Youth for Peace Movement-Cavite
The Youth for Peace Movement-Cavite is conducting a relief drive for Batangas evacuees staying in different municipalities in Cavite. Aside from the standard relief goods, the group is also looking for donors who can rent or provide generators or a charging station for the evacuees.
