TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – A total of 150 junior high school students participated in the recent provincial celebration of the 27th Provincial Children’s Month held at Trece Martires City National High School.
The event with the theme “Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan” was initiated by the Provincial Government of Cavite led by Gov. Jonvic Remulla who delivered the State of the Children’s Report.
Gov. Jonvic stressed that, “the provincial government in partnership with different local and national agencies always made every Caviteño child’s survival, development, protection, and participation rights a priority through the advocacies and government programs developed and implemented.”

During the event, a cyber safety orientation dubbed as “Cyber Safety is My Responsibility: Orientation on Anti-Child Pornography Act and Tips on Safer Internet among Youth and Stakeholders” was conducted.
The discussion was facilitated by Ms. Henelyn L. Lapizar, Social Welfare Officer III that deliberated on topics like cyberbullying, online sex exploitation, child pornography as well as several other relevant and timely topics.
“You should always be aware on the proper use of the internet and the social media to safeguard yourself from on-line predators,” Ms. Lapizar stressed.
The event was made possible through the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children in cooperation with the Inter-agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT IV-A) and the Department of Education and school officials of the Trece Martires City National High School.
