LUCENA CITY- Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) celebrated its 73rd Foundation anniversary on February 10-14, 2020 with the theme “#celebratingVictory:MSEUF@73.”
The celebration kicked-off with a thanksgiving mass, cutting of ribbon for the departmental booth fair followed by an indoor parade of departments with their Baliskog (Arch) and Putong (Headdress) entries at the University Gymnasium.
Dr. Claudia Odette J. Ayala, Chairman of the MSEUF 73rd Foundation Anniversary Celebration lauded the university for its various contributions that wrought a significant change in the province of Quezon.
“The milestone, victories, and achievements for the past 72 years, and now turning 73, are continuing thrusts to inspire the University to make global waves and nourish positive social changes through time and education,” Dr. Ayala said.
The activities lined-up were Faculty and Employees Congress, Debate Competition, Tobias Y. Enverga Writing Contests, Asuncion L. Flores Speaking Contests, Efren A. Micor Online Academic Contests, Alumni General Assembly, Opening of “Hiraeth” Painting Exhibit, and Ronyando S. Baldeo Drama Festival.

The major highlight of this year’s anniversary celebration was the search, proclamation, and coronation of Miss Enverga University 2020 in which eleven lovely candidates vied for the crown.
CCJC’s Jancel Yogawin became third runner up; CBA’s Joyce Anne Garduqe gained the second runner up; CNAHS’ Mary Yari Roces secured the first runner up spot, and BED-SHS’ Andrea Mae Dayalo seized the crown as Miss Enverga University 2020.
Mr. Brian “Dimas” Zagala, President of the University Collegiate Student Council and co-chairman of the 73rd Foundation Anniversary Celebration thanked all the Envergans who participated in all the activities prepared by different councils and committee chairpersons.
“On behalf of the University Collegiate Student Council, the highest independent student body of Manuel S. Enverga University, we would like to express our profound gratitude to the MSEUF community for their participation in the 73rd anniversary celebration of Enverga University,” UCSC President Zagala said.
The activity was concluded with Eleanor F. Bigyan Cultural Festival and Battle of the Bands.
