TAYABAS CITY - Joint police teams arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized from them 74.1 grams of shabu with an street value of P1,511,640, during a drug buy- bust at Brgy. Kanlurang Palale, here, on Sunday night.
Quezin police director Col. Audie Madrideo said suspects Julius Cesar Paguio, 41 and John Lloyd Excija, 22, were both caught red handed with eleven marked P1,000 bills which they received from a poseur buyer during the exchange.
Madrideo said the operation was conducted by joint elemets of Provincial Intelligence Branch under Major Gaylor Pagala and Tayabas City police station under Major Mark Amat along with rrpresentatives from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)- Quezon at around 9:00 p.m.

During the arrest, Amat said the suspects yielded seven transparent plastic sachets containing shabu.
He said the accounting of seized evidence was done in the presence of village officials and representatives from the prosecutor's office and the media.
Both suspects were charged with violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.
