Lipa City – Revenue District Office no. 59 Lipa City Chief ROSEMARIE A. TALAMAN advises taxpayers within the district to file their income statement for 2019 early and correctly to avoid hassle and inconveniences.
Talaman stressed that taxpayers must review very well before filing to ensure that their income statements for 2019 are correct, then pay early and do not wait for the deadline or last day. The very kind and efficient revenue district officer pointed out that the deadline for filing and paying of income tax is April 15, 2020 which is Wednesday, and usually, like in the past years, it is not extended.
“To our valued taxpayers, please be reminded to avoid the rush and last minute filing to beat the April 15 deadline. And also, payment or filing can now be done online, through the banks, aside from the BIR district office,” Talaman added.

She likewise stressed that by paying early or on time, the taxpayers can avoid penalties which could be an additional burden for them. RDO Talaman also pointed out, “Ang pagbabayad po ng tamang buwis ay tungkulin natin bilang mabubuting mamamayan, at nakakatulong sa pagpapaunlad ng bansa, sa pagsasagawa ng iba’t-ibang programa at proyekto na tayo rin po ang nakikinabang. Kaya naman, nagpapasalamat po tayo nang lubos sa ating mga taxpayers sa inyo pong suporta at pakikiisa. We believe our taxpayers here in the district are also law-abiding citizens na sumusunod po sa ating tax laws.”
Revenue District No. 59-Lipa City which is responsible in the collection of taxes and serves as the front-line assistance for the taxpayers within the area covers the cities of Lipa, Tanauan, and Sto. Tomas and the towns of Mataasnakahoy, Cuenca, Talisay, Laurel, Mabini, Alitagtag, Padre Garcia, Rosario, Balete, Ibaan, Malvar, San Jose, San Juan, San Nicolas, Sta. Teresita, Agoncillo and Taysan. Accredited banks where a taxpayer can pay his Income Tax Return (ITR) include Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB), Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank), Security Bank, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), China Banking Corporation and the Philippine Bank of Communications.
