ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal - Cainta Mayor Johnielle Keith "Kit" Nieto will distribute 6,000 food stubs as a subsidy to residents affected by the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
Mayor Nieto targets to start the program on Thursday, March 19 in all barangays in Cainta.
The program will run for 30 days and may be adjusted as the need arises, the Mayor said.
He added that the meal subsidy was funded by the municipal government. The stubs will be distributed to the barangay chairs who will have the discretion and duty to allocate properly.

The mayor emphasized that the program prioritizes those who are in need.
"Unahin na natin ang mga talagang natigil sa trabaho at walang source para sa pagkain kung hindi makakapasok. Yung medyo may stock, baka pwedeng ibalato na natin sa talagang wala," the mayor stated in his post.
The Sangguniang Bayan of Cainta has passed a resolution declaring the town under the state of calamity following President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration of the enhanced community quarantine due to the COVID-19 threat. (GG)
