PAGBILAO, Quezon - The Pagbilao Mangrove Experimental Forest's (PMEF) inauguration and blessing include, in particular, a view deck, boardwalk, pavilion, and multi-purpose hall was led by Gov. Danilo E. Suarez, on March 4, 2020, at Ibabang Palsabangon, Pagbilao, Quezon.
Among the activities undertaken are the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Provincial and Tayabas City Environment and Natural Resources, Bilao Local Government Unit and Barangay Council of the Ibabang Palsabangon and several branches of the Provincial Government.
Tayabas CENRO workers, led by Mr. Ramil Limpiada, shared their appreciation for sharing the beginning of such a project with one of their constituencies under the former Provincial Governor and now Second District Hon Congressman. David "Jayjay" Suarez has the full support and assistant given to them and the environment and natural resources of the provincial government.
Aside from being diverse mangrove area, it has the potential for ecotourism development, CENRO Ramil Limpiada added.
PENRO Alfredo Palencia congratulate the provincial government for continuing the project and hoping to strengthen the protection and maintenance of PMEF.
On the part of LGU Pagbilao, Admin. Ian Palicpic express their willingness to share their resources in the management of such. "Pagbilao is known with powerplant and because of PMEF we will also be known with a balanced environment and an ecotourism destination", he added.
PG ENRO (the prime mover of the project) headed by PGDH ENRO Manuel A. Beloso also congratulate the members of PAMB for their aggressiveness to support the program. Meanwhile, Provincial Governor Danilo E. Suarez said today that he has responded to the need for greater attention to be paid to beautify the region, such as working with provincial engineering to develop highways, good signal reception, and even electrical problems.
Gov. Suarez congratulate the prime movers of this noble program for the environment during the blessing and inauguration of PMEF.
He also said that it is one of the priority program of the province hence, the provincial government is interested to help in the promotion of PMEF as a research site and ecotourism destination, renovate/rehabilitate facilities and provide livelihood opportunities to local communities.
The same applies to Pagbilao Mayor Shierre Ann Palicpic's post, portrayed by the Municipal Administrator Engr. Ian Palicpic has also said that the local government is well versed in focusing on the environment.
On the other hand, Governor Suarez stresses the importance of biodiversity in our climate and guarantees that no mangroves can be cultivated in the aforementioned Mangrove Forest.
The place is now considered to be a tourist attraction and destination located in Barangay Ibabang Palsabangon, Pagbilao, Quezon because it is also visited by some local tourists and students.
