LUCENA CITY - Police operatives held a jobless woman following the seizure of some P3,069,180 worth of illegal drugs from her possession at San Francisco Sibd., Brgy. Ibabang Dupay, this city an hour before midnight on Thursday.
Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo said Mary Grace Teñido, alias Gracia, of said village was caught red- handed with shabu during a drug buy- bust carried out by Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea and Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Major Gaylor Pagala.
Madrideo said Teñido was held after she received marked P10,000 cash from a poseur buyer in exchange for a small plastic sachet containing shabu.
“Her arrest led to the confiscation of the bulk of drugs contained in two knot’ tied plastic bag weighing around 150.45 grams”, said Madrideo.
He said the accounting of seized evidence was witnessed by village officials and a media representative.
The suspect was charged with violations of Section 5 and 11of Art II of Repuplic Act 9165 before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
