Quezon PNP Provincial Director Police Colonel Audie L. Madrideo reports to the media their accomplishments on the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) it conducted in the province during the media update at Camp Nakar, Lucena City. (PIA Quezon)


LUCENA CITY, Quezon - The three-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) conducted by the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) on February 23-25, 2020 has resulted in the arrest of 173 suspected criminals.

In a media update held at QPPO conference room in Camp Nakar, this city, Quezon PNP Provincial Director/Police Colonel Audie L. Madrideo reported that 43 of the suspected criminals were arrested for illegal drug activities in violation of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

Based on QPPO’s report, seven (7) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing 74.1 grams were confiscated. The actual weight that is still to be determined by a chemist in the PNP crime laboratory has a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P503,880 and street value of P1,511,640.

In addition, five suspects were arrested for illegal possesion of firearms in violation of RA 10591 and confiscation of five loose firearms while 50 suspects were arrested for illegal gambling activities in violation of PD 1602. A total amount of P10,780 bet money was confiscated during the operation.

Moreover, 18 suspects were arrested for illegal fishing and confiscation of 27 kilos of assorted fish in violation of RA 8550 and 10 suspects were arrested for for illegal logging and confiscation of 1,735 board feet of lumber amounting to P19,961 and one suspect arrested for violating the Coconut Preservation Act of 1995.

Lastly, 11 most wanted persons and 35 other wanted persons with different cases were also arrested during the operation.

“All arrested suspects and wanted persons were detained in different city and municipal custodial facilities of the province,” Madrideo said (R. Orinday-PIA-Quezon with reports form QPPO)
