CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - The first confirmed patient in Biñan City who was tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has finally recovered and was discharged from the hospital.

The patient is a 58-year old woman without any travel history and a resident of Brgy. San Francisco in Biñan City. She was nursed at the Unihealth Southwoods Hospital and Medical Center (USHMC) and discharged March 29 after full recovery from COVID-19.

Based on the video footage posted thr the official Facebook page of Biñan City Information Office, the patient received a warm round of applause from the medical team of USHMC as they celebrate her recovery.

Meanwhile, the city's second COVID-19 confirmed patient was also discharged and is in stable condition at this time and waiting for full recovery.

According to the latest COVID-19 Update from the Laguna Provincial Government, as of 8:00 AM of April 1, there are 8 cases of COVID-19 in Biñan City.

Overall, there are 54 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the whole province of Laguna and the public is continuously encouraged to stay vigilant, strictly follow health protocols, stay at home nonetheless observe social distancing. (CO with reports from Biñan City Information Office)
