LUCENA CITY - Two more persons were recorded to have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing to 11 the total infected persons in Quezon province., health authorities announced.

In an announcement issued by Quezon Public Information Office (QPIO) under Janet Geneblazo on Thursday night, it was disclosed that the two new cases were traced to Sariaya and Unisan towns in the second and third districts of the province, respectively.

The QPIO said the 11th case is a 23- year-old female and a resident of Sariaya who had a direct contact with a patient under investigation (PUI) who eventually died.

The 10th case is a 79 -year- old male and resident of Unisan.

No additional details were provided by QPIO.

The rest of the confirmed COVID-19 cases include five from this city, one from Candelaria and one each from the towns of Sariaya, Sampaloc, and Tayabas City.

So far, the province has recorded 245 PUIs including 4 deaths. (GEMI FORMARAN)
