LIPA CITY, Batangas - On June 15, more than 20 local media underwent rapid testing at this town's City Health Office. The test is part of the City Government of Lipa 's initiative to make sure all sectors, particularly frontliners, are safe and not affected by COVID-19.
During Presidential Communications Operations Secretary Martin Andanar 's visit to Lipa City on Saturday, Mayor Eric Africa ensured that the rest of the sectors, including the media, underwent rapid tests as they were also a frontliners.
According to April Magpantay, the ABS CBN Southern Tagalog reporter, it is reassuring to undergo a rapid test and to get a negative result.
Joy Ever Lescano, a medical technologist and one of those performing a
rapid test said that the result would be known within 15 minutes after a blood
transfusion.
said.
The number of positive cases in the city of Lipa reached 54, of
which only three remained active on June 15. (with reports from PIA Batangas)
