Imus COVID 19 cases increases

IMUS, Cavite - New cases of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) cases in this city were increased, a high government official said recently.

Mayor Emmanuel Leonardo Maliksi of Imus, Cavite said on his Facebook on Monday that the city has a total of 71 confirmed cases with nine deaths and 45 recoveries, and 17 active cases.



The local government of Imus reported that the city has now 71 cases with the six new cases from different barangays that were added to the list by the city epidemiology and surveillance unit.

Imus, was in third spot in terms of COVID-19 case numbers in the province after neighboring cities of Bacoor, with 143 cases, and Dasmariñas 79. The cases increased by six, Maliksi said.



The lawmaker identified the six new cases as Patients #66, a 52-year-old woman from Barangay Medicion II-C, now under strict home quarantine; #67, another woman aged 29, from Bucandala IV, admitted to a private hospital in Metro Manila; #68, a 58-year-old man from Bayan Luma II, confined in a health facility in Antipolo City, Rizal; #69, a 44year-old man from Malagasang II-C, confined in a public hospital in Cavite; #70, an 81-year-old man from Anabu I-F, admitted to a private hospital in Imus; and #71, a 22-year-old woman from Bucandala V who was placed under strict home quarantine.
