BACOOR CITY, Cavite - Kamakailan lamang ay ipinagpatuloy ng Metro Pacific Tollways South Management Corporation (MPT South) ang mga gawain sa opisina at mga aktibidad na nauugnay sa konstruksyon para sa mga pangunahing proyektong pang-imprastraktura na mga ito, Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) at Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) dahil sa paglipat ng NCR at ang mga kalapit na lalawigan sa General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Ang konstruksyon ng mga proyektong ito ay nasuspinde nang ang epidemya ng COVID 19 ay pumutok sa bansa na nagdulot ng mga pagbabago para sa mga protocol ng konstruksyon.



Pagka-issue ng Department Order No. 35 S. 2020 ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) o "Construction Safety Guidelines for the Implementation of all DPWH Infrastructure Projects during the COVID-19 Public Health Crisis" bilang naaprubahan ng Inter -Agency Task Force on Emerging and Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), nagpatuloy ang konstruksyon.

Sinabi ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar na, "With the relaxing of the community quarantine, we need to get the projects back on track, most especially the BBB (Build, Build, Build) projects which aims to spur and sustain economic growth by constructing infrastructure projects badly needed by the country. The guidelines set is to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in the projects. Strict compliance is expected."



Ang pagpapatuloy para sa konstruksyon ng CAVITEX r-1 second phase sa mga lugar ng Parañaque, Las Piñas, at Wawa ay nasa 55 porsyento na ang nakukumpleto. Ang mga tauhan ng konstruksyon at mga kaalyadong serbisyo ay na-remobilize para sa pagpapatuloy ng mga gawa sa CALAX Subsections 4 at 5, at segment ng Cavite. Patuloy ang pagkuha ng ROW para sa segment ng Cavite at Subsection 4. Ang pag-subscribe 5, ang pagpapatuloy mula sa Santa Rosa hanggang Silang ay nasa 96 porsyento na ROW acquisition na may mga siteworks sa 57 porsyento, makabuluhang.

Samantala, ang CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3A2 at Segment 2 ROW acquisition ay nasa 81 porsyento na nagagawa. Ang mga award letter ay naibigay sa kwalipikadong bidder habang ang mga detalye ng pagpapatupad ng proyekto ay kasalukuyang ginagawa.

"The guidelines of DPWH are specific to help stem the disease. The contractors must follow new protocols at the jobsite which changes the preparation and mobilization time of the projects. These adjustments have an effect on the timeline. We also give great consideration on the renewed focus by the government on BBB projects. We want to accelerate completion of projects - subject to DPWH and the Department of Health (DOH) guidelines," sabi ng Pangulo ng MPT South at General Manager na si Roberto V. Bontia.

Gayundin, isang large-scale testing para sa mga empleyado ng kumpanya at tauhan ng konstruksyon ang isinagawa kasama ang mga 1,600 empleyado na sumasailalim sa COVID-19 Rapid Anti-Body Diagnostic Testing.

Bagaman ang mass testing ay hindi hinihiling ng gobyerno para sa mga kumpanya na nagpatuloy ang operasyon, gayunpaman sinimulan ng MPTS ang testing upang matiyak na ang kanilang mga empleyado ay negatibo sa COVID 19 at malusog upang tiyak na ligtas ang kanilang mga customer, stakeholder at kanilang pamilya sa pandemya.

Katulad nito, titiyakin ng pamamahala ang mga pang-araw-araw na protocol ng pagsubaybay sa kalusugan, pagkakaloob ng mga personal protective equipment (PPEs), kalinisan at pagdidisimpekta ng mga puwang ng opisina alinsunod sa pinakamababang pamantayan sa kalusugan ng publiko sa lugar ng trabaho.
