Pililla SK Federation President Elai Gimena announced at Network News Briefing the organization's support for the local government in its fight against COVID-19. 

ANTIPOLO, Rizal - The Sangguniang Bayan Federation of Pililla has been active in helping the local government units (LGU) during Coronavirus Disease (COVID 19) crisis.

 "Ilan po sa aming proyekto ang pagbibigay ng hygiene kits at pagtuturo ng proper sanitation sa aming mga kababayan," Gimena said during an interview with Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar at Network Briefing News last May 29.

The SK Federation is conducting awareness campaigns to educate people about what Coronavirus is and how to prevent it. On the other hand, LGUs of Pililia is doing also doing their part to protect the health and safety of young people during the coronavirus pandemic.



Campaigns also include ways to help the government by following protocols.

Gimena also shared the best practices of Pililla, the only town in the province of Rizal, with COVID 19 zero incidents.

"Recently rin po kami ng SK Federation kasama ang mga LGBT (groups) at iba't-ibang youth organizations ang naatasan na mamahala sa ikalimang wave ng pamimigay ng relief ng Bayan ng Pililla, Rizal. Natapos po namin ang (pamamahagi) ng 25,000 food packs sa aming bayan sa patnubay ng aming punongbayan, Mayor Dan Masinsin, Vice Mayor Rafael 'Paeng' Carpio at mga councilors," Gimena said.

The SK Federation also distributed relief goods to their respective barangays and also conducted on fund-raising activities in support of "less-recognized" frontlines, such as garbage collectors, street sweepers, and barangay guards, who were also provided with food packs.
