LUCENA CITY - The intensified campaign of Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) against wanted felons has scored anew with the arrest of the province's most wanted men in separate occasions.

Quezon police director Col. Audie Madrideo identified the nabbed suspects as Engracio Postrado, 74, farmer, and resident of Brgy. Bolo, Catanauan, Quezon, and Romeo Maranga Jr, 35, fisherman, of Brgy. Ibabang Polo Pagbilao, Quezon.

Madrid said Postrado and Maranga have been listed as most wanted men of Catanauan and Pagbilao, respectively.

Catanauan police commander Major Lowell Atienza said Postrado was arrested on the strength of an arrest order issued by Gumaca Regional Trial Court Branch 61 Presiding Judge Maria Chona Pulgar-Navarro for rape with no recommended bail.

Atienza said Postrado was accused of raping a minor at Brgy. Bolo on the night of March 3, 2014.

Pagbilao police chief Major Reden Romasanta said Maranga was accused of raping a girl while the latter was alone in her house at Brgy. Ibabang Polo on the afternoon of December 29, 2018.

Romasanta said Maranga who has been listed as the town's most wanted felon was collared by virtue of an arrest order issued by Lucena City Regional Trial Court Branch 57 Presiding Judge Julieto Fabrero with no recommended bail.

Both suspects were detained at the custodial facilities of the towns' respective municipal police stations.
