BATANGAS CITY - When choosing a course, parents often want to follow what their children are supposed to take. Some want their children to follow in the footsteps of their profession.
But according to two resource speakers at the second webinar of the Batangas City's Public Employment Service Office (PESO) on career guidance for incoming Grade 10 students, the course to be chosen should be what the person really wants.
According to Carlo Ople, a YouTube vlogger, and Rose Casala, a producer of ABS-CBN, the student must also see the opportunities that await him in the course he chooses and uses these opportunities to achieve his goals and personal purpose in life.
The Magkatuwang Tayo "Kita Maghuntahan Tayo: Trabaho para sa Kinabukasan" Webinar is an online seminar organized by PESO in collaboration with Dep Ed to guide the incoming grade of 10 students on the path of their choice and the course they will take in college.
It also aims to prepare students for alternative forms of education at the opening of the class on 24 August. This webinar was attended by Grade 10 students and teachers from public and private schools in the city.
