CALABARZON - The Department of Health Region IV-A (DOH4A) is stepping up its entire campaign to successfully implement the project and to have a “Sabayang patak kontra Polio” for children as young as 5 years of age who are chronically ill.

Department of Health Center for Health Development Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo clarified in his July 15,2020 statement in the PIA Yaman Kaalaman program that polio is a virus that can spread and become an epidemic if not treated promptly and acted upon.

Common to get this are children as young as 5 years of age below, you can see the effect on the child's physical body and often indicate their nervous system so that if not immediately vaccinated, they can die.

DOH4A is pushing for its "Sabayang patak ng kontra Polio" campaign, which has already completed its first round on August 3 to 16 in the province of Laguna, and on August 17 to 30 in the provinces of Cavite and Rizal, where approximately 1.2 million children are the overall target to be vaccinated from the area.

Based on the statement of DOH4A RD Janairo, they have to conduct a campaign in the said three provinces of the region as they are close to Metro Manila, where the case of Polio is again to be seen as higher by three provinces compared to Batangas and Quezon, but that does not mean that vaccination is not administered in both provinces.

DOH4A RD Janairo also reminded parents or guardians of children not to worry or fear, in particular, if the vaccinators are senior high school graduates or do not finish high school because they are not properly trained to test children.

This is one that uses precautions to prevent COVID 19 disease because those aged 21 to 59 years will use a strong resistance vaccine.

He also said that there is no need to worry about the health of children in the forthcoming vaccination because it will strictly avoid close contact with children due to the use of alternative and effective means to prevent the spread of the disease.

On the other hand, DOH4A RD Janairo has happily announced that they will be given the opportunity to restart other jeepney drivers who will be charged with the introduction of vaccines and supervisors who will oversee the program in the coming days. (CO / PIA4A)
