ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal —The Department of Trade and Industry-Rizal starts Micro Small and Medium (MSME) Week by signing up twelve local businesses for the Kapatid Mentor ME program at the agency’s Provincial Office in Antipolo City.

DTI-Rizal Provincial Director Merdeces Parreño stated during the ceremonial commitment signing held July 20 that the program consisting of 10 modules will result in life-long learnings that aim to boost business learnings.

The 12 businesses selected for the 4th KMME Batch in Rizal, namely Aztec Foodgrowers Corp., Chicharona Food Delicacies, Dig Deep Ice Cream house, J15 Mother Nurture and Wellness Enterprise, Joeffats RTW Shop, KVS Bags and Apparels, LMJean Skin Care Products Manufacturing, Maflor Home of Healthy Foods, Sawasdee Tanay Thai Restaurant, Scents and Memories Enterprises, Stagira Farms and, Swirls N Sprinkles Bakeshop, are slated to learn various topics ranging from business, taxation, law and marketing among others from successful entrepreneurs.

Director Parreño added that another 24 MSMEs from Batangas and Laguna Provinces will also be joining the Rizal businesses for the current batch.

However, unlike the previous KMME batches, the 4th Batch will undertake a blended approach of online and face-to-face coaching in line with the new normal caused by COVID-19.

“Rest assured that DTI-Rizal will always provide you with the necessary complementary learnings,” added Dir. Parreño as she emphasized the agency’s partner online coaches will still give MSMEs comprehensive learnings.

Aside from the commitment signing, DTI-Rizal has other various activities lined up for MSME Week such as the promotion of the upcoming Tindahang Rizalenyo Virtual Store, Webinars on Online Marketing and Food Safety and the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Livelihood Seeding Program. (PIA-Rizal)
