CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has granted a P1.35-billion term loan to Sto. Tomas Doctors Hospital and Medical Center Inc. (STDHMCI) for the construction of a 10-storey Level 2 hospital building with an initial capacity of 200 beds in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
The financing was granted under the DBP Strategic Healthcare Investment for Enhanced Lending & Development (SHIELD) program which aims to improve the delivery of quality health care services in the country.
DBP Vice President Jeanne D. Adamos, STDHMCI Chairman Dr. Felix Nolasco, DBP President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel G. Herbosa, and STDHMCI President Dr. Roberto De Leon were present during the signing of the loan agreement at the DBP Head Office in Makati City.
Also in attendance were STDHMCI executives Dr. Ruzena Opulencia, Dr. Maria Eulenia Nolasco, and Dr. Teodorico Opulencia together with DBP Account Officer Kimberly Rose Ricasa. (PIA-4A/DBP)
