ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal - The Provincial Government of Rizal set out its guidelines for the modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from August 4 to 18, following the implementation by President Rodrigo Duterte.
In its official Facebook page, the Provincial Government reminded that the strict enforcement of minimum health standards such as wearing a face mask, physical or social distancing, disinfection, and others are still ongoing.
Public transport, except for tricycles, is suspended depending on the arrangements and regulations of local governments to allow them to do so.
Apart from the 24-hour curfew for ages 20 and below and for ages 60 and above and other vulnerable groups, there is another curfew from 5AM to 8PM for authorized exits.
Mass gatherings of more than 5 people and face-to-face classes or in-person classes with students are prohibited.
Mall operations are limited to essential goods and services and leisure activities are prohibited under the MECQ. Manufacturers are also limited to essential and priority public and private construction projects.
DTI classified industries are allowed to operate in categories I, II, and III except for barbershops, salons, tourist destinations, entertainment, kid amusement, libraries, museums, cultural centers, gyms, studios, sports facilities, and personal care services.
The provincial government, on the other hand, advises locals to contact their respective LGUs to identify appropriate policies in their area of jurisdiction.
Moreover, the IATF leaves the use of Quarantine Passes and Barangay Coding to local governments.
The Rizal Provincial Capitol Building will be temporarily closed for a week from August 3 to allow disinfection and sanitation activities.
According to another announcement on the official Facebook page, this will be conducted after 16 Provincial Government employees test positive in COVID 19 Testing.
Contact tracing and isolating those exposed to them continues to prevent the virus from spreading and to ensure the health of Rizalenyos.
