BATANGAS CITY - All 215 families from the Badjao community in this city received assistance from the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Brgy. Malitam on August 24, 2020.
The activity is part of the “Adopt a Community, Police Calabarzon Kaagapay Ko” program promoted by the Calabarzon PNP.
The distribution of rice, canned goods, noodles and bread to the families living in the said barangay was led by PRO4A PBGen Vicente Danao Jr.
In Danao's message, he said that the purpose of the program is to provide assistance to families who are considered "poorest of the poor" and incapable of sustaining their daily needs, especially during the pandemic.
Apart from the checkpoints, the police are also assisting the local government in providing information to prevent the public from being harmed by Covid-19. They are also continuing their campaign against crime and encouraging people to comply with the law.
