CAINTA, Rizal - During the recent Cainta Public Market testing, 367 market vendors in the Cainta market were tested of which 49 of them tested positive for the Rapid Test. They are now subjected to isolation and quarantine while awaiting the results of their confirmatory RT-PCR Testing or swab test.
Other Public Markets are also scheduled to test tenants and vendors and prevent the spread of COVID-19 especially in crowded places like markets. The Binangonan and Antipolo LGUs are ahead conducted their own testing in their respective public markets.
The Rapid test schedule is as follows:
· August 31- San Mateo Public Market
· September 2- Angono Public Market
· September 6- Tanay Public Market
· September 7- Montalban Public Market
· September 9- Pililla and Jalajala Public Markets
· September 11- Teresa and Baras Public Markets
The public markets will be closed while testing is in progress.
Meanwhile, province of Rizal has been subjected by the IATF under the leadership of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) from September 1-30, 2020.
According to the previous guidelines of the IATF, to Classify of industries, including barred in all quarantine classifications are as follows:
Bars, beerhouses, other establishments that primarily serve alcoholic drinks
Kid amusement areas like playgrounds and theme parks
MGCQ guidelines require people crossing regional or provincial borders for indispensable travels to obtain a travel authority from delegated local police stations.
Public and private transportation is still allowed but must comply with DOTr and IATF guidelines such as mandatory wearing of face masks, face shields, physical distancing and more.
As of August 26, there are 4,789 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Rizal province with 3,407 recoveries, 210 deaths and 1,172 active cases.
