LUCENA CITY, Philippines – On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, The province of Quezon reopened and allowed tourists to visit amidst pandemic but safety protocols should be monitored to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
According to Provincial Tourism Officer, Alberto Bay, Tourists spots in different towns of Quezon like Tiaong, Sariaya, Atimonan, and Dolores are welcoming local and non-residents to visit the town’s tourist attractions.
Other towns like Lucban, Mauban, Candelaria, General Nakar, San Andres, Calauag, and the Island municipality of Quezon is open also but only for the residents of those provinces, said Bay.
“We’re updating the list every week because local governments also change their quarantine status” he added.
Those who are willing to go to these different tourist attractions, they should bring with them their latest medical certificates and health clearances issued by the government agencies while those who are from outside Quezon Province should show their travel pass.
Elderly and those who are 21 years old and below are still prohibited to travel, though they could also be allowed to enter depending on guidelines issued by the local government. Said Bay.
