BATANGAS CITY - Tinga Sorosoro Integrated School (TSIS) recently gave a lecture on 'Smart Parenting on the New Normal.'
The event highlights how parents may provide a healthy relationship with their children during the pandemic.
Ma. Carmela Maramot, Population Program Officer III of the Population Program Division of the City Health Office (CHO), was a resource speaker.
Each letter of the word COVID-19 was described by Maramot for communication, O-openness, V- Vigilant, I-inspire and D-show your love and affection as a guide to a strong relationship. She also pointed out that do not fail to pray to pass the tests and improve the relationship with the family.
Healthy relationships and strong families will shape young people, according to the DOH and POPCOM Adolescent Health and Development Program, to face every challenge they will face.
"Sa panahong ito kung saan nasa bahay lang ang inyong mga anak, sana ay gamitin ninyo ang pagkakataong ito upang makilala sila ng lubusan, magabayan at maipadama ang inyong pagmamahal at pagkalinga sa kanila," Maramot advised.
It also addresses ways to escape teenage addiction and the growing number of pregnancies among teenagers.
The said activity was carried out through a Google meeting in conjunction with the orientation of the parents for the parents of Grade 9 students where the changes faced by the students were addressed at the opening of the class.
